On the way back, ran out of diesel 0.25 mile from the lab
Brian did not factor in the extra weight and the high winds in the fuel consumption calculations.
Calculations are needed because the truck can run 150 miles on empty. We normally get 7.1 miles/gallon
in normal conidtions and as low as 6 miles/gallon in harsh conditions. We got 4.8 miles/gallon on this trip
due to all the people and gear (probably 2000 lbs), and the high winds/storm we went through.
So... they tried to push (yeah, that worked well), then some ran to lab to get gas can. Tony Collins graciously picked
Brian up to get diesel from nearest station that had it.
